Food Sensitivity Testing
Description
FoodPrint® Advanced IgG Food Sensitivity Testing.
At Testament Health and Wellness, I offer the FoodPrint® test, a cutting-edge IgG food sensitivity test that identifies foods triggering immune responses, leading to low-grade inflammation and worsening conditions like IBS, migraines, and headaches. This test analyzes up to 207 food and drink antigens using CE-marked microarray technology, providing highly accurate results.
Unlike immediate food allergies (IgE), which cause rapid reactions, food sensitivities (IgG) trigger delayed immune responses, making them harder to pinpoint. Elevated IgG levels often indicate chronic inflammation and digestive issues. The test is easy to use, with an at-home or clinic-friendly finger-prick blood collection, and results are presented using a clear “traffic light” system.
The FoodPrint® test offers valuable insights into food sensitivities, helping uncover the root causes of your symptoms and providing actionable steps for a healthier, balanced life. Results can be viewed on an App for easier analysis, with personalised interpretation and recommendations available for an additional fee.
FoodPrint is not suitable for children under 2, pregnant or breastfeeding individuals, or those on certain medications like corticosteroids.
What’s the difference between a food sensitivity, food allergy, and food intolerance?
- Food Intolerance (Non-immune-mediated): Difficulty digesting foods due to enzyme deficiencies, not immune-mediated. Symptoms are typically less severe but can cause discomfort.
- Food Allergy (IgE-mediated): Immediate immune responses to food (e.g., anaphylaxis), triggered by IgE antibodies. Diagnosed with blood or skin prick tests.
- Food Sensitivity (IgG-mediated): Delayed immune responses triggered by IgG antibodies, leading to symptoms like headaches, bloating, and digestive issues. The FoodPrint® test detects IgG antibodies, identifying foods contributing to chronic symptoms and inflammation.
